Over the years we have raised over $800,000 for local charitable and service organizations which focus on emphasizing youth development including Pillars, Scouting America and Helping Hand.
Our Scholarships
The Vernon H. Timke Scholarship, open to students at LTHS and RBHS, provides one $5,000 scholarship annually for four years to the college of the student’s choice. The R. Kent Schneider Scholarship, open to students at LTHS, provides $5,000 annually for two years to College of DuPage to one student each year. The Chris Ellis Scholarship, open to students at RBHS will be distributed in full in spring 2028.

We are the proud sponsors of the next generation of members through the following clubs. K-Kids at Brook Park in LaGrange Park – for elementary students. Club members discover their passion to serve, desire to lead and their ability to engage and collaborate with others. Aktion club at Helping Hand – for adults with disabilities. Club members become competent, capable, caring leaders through service.

Over the past few years our two signatures events have been: The Unpancake Breakfast, which is held in the spring of each year and The Disc for Charity, which is held in the fall of each year.

The AKtion Club is selling Poinsettias — red or white, in two different sizes, to help support their activities this year. Please circulate the attached flyer as soon as you can. There is a quick turnaround in order to deliver them in time.
